Homeless Folk & DPW Jointly Clean Mission's McCoppin Hub

This was a sight for sore eyes this morning. About a dozen individual homeless persons and four workers from the San Francisco Department of Public Works together cleaning up McCoppin Hub.

The long-troubled and controversial public space near Valencia and Market Streets, in Sup. Jane Kim's district, is slated to be ringed with an iron fence early in 2017 to better manage the hub for all users.

I made a point to tell all of the people at McCoppin Hub how thankful I am for their efforts maintaining good public health practices there.

Check out my photos from the cleaning earlier today.

These activities are hopeful signs that San Francisco will start improving instead of declining.
